2014年水资源与水利工程研讨会将于2014年12月24日至26日在中国苏州召开。会议涉及水资源与水利工程相关领域，旨在为国内外学者提供一个学术交流的平台。中英文投稿均可，但所有文章须有英文题目，英文摘要和英文参考文献。

2014 Water Resources and Engineering Conference (WRE 2014) will be held from December 24-26, 2014 in Suzhou, China. This Conference will cover issues on Water Resources and Engineering. The submitted papers can be written in Chinese or English, but the title, abstract and references should be in English.

苏州是中国华东地区特大城市之一，位于江苏省东南部、长江以南、太湖东岸、长江三角洲中部，其历史悠久，是国家首批24个历史文化名城之一。苏州以其独特的园林景观被誉为“中国园林之城”，素有“人间天堂”、“东方威尼斯”、“东方水城”的美誉。苏州园林是中国私家园林的代表，被联合国教科文组织列为世界文化遗产。

Suzhou is located in the center of the Yangtze Delta, in the south of Jiangsu Province. Suzhou is praised as the 'Oriental Venice'. Taihu Lake, four fifths of which is in the territory of Suzhou, is one of the four largest fresh lakes in China, with East Hill, West Hill and other scenic spots in its vicinity. The city is cut by the Beijing- Hangzhou Grand Canal from north to south. Together with its mild climate, fertile landscape and abundance of produce, it is no wonder that Suzhou is called 'paradise on earth'.
