During his Ph.D. work on collaborative experimental study of high energy pion interaction with nuclei till the year 1980 he completed investigations that high energy pion is attenuated stronger than a proton in passing through a heavy nucleus. This favored additive quark model of multi-particle production. On joining as a faculty at University of Rajasthan, Jaipur in the year 1980 he participated several multi- national collaborative experiments like L3, EMU, WA93 and WA98 and supervised several Ph.D. works related to experimental relativistic heavy ion anomalous enhancement of interaction cross sections, multi-fragmentation, Quark Gluon Plasma and nuclear compression till the last century. His most innovative research activity exhibiting his creativity has been ‘leading particle effect’ and ‘measurement of nuclear compression at relativistic energies’.
After the year 2000 he involved himself in the collaborative activity of development of CASCADE code of design and modeling of nuclear devices where particle and nuclei transport plays an important role. After concluding CASCADE version 2004 in the year 2007 he has been supervising development of ‘JA-IPU - A Monte Carlo Code of radiation damage’ on transport of neutron and gamma radiation during his current position at GGSIP University, New Delhi. The code is under development for its application in material science and radiology. In all, he has actively contributed towards publication of ~ 175 research papers and cited research articles. He has worked as reviewer for several scientific journals and presently he is member of Editorial Board of JEPE(USA). He has directed 5 Ph.D. works related to the Physics of Accelerator Driven Sub critical Systems during the last 14 years.
