  • Biography:
    Hadi Haeri is born in 1983 at West Azarbaijan, iran. Dr. Hadi Haeri is currently postdoctoral associate in Fracture Mechanics at Sharif University of technology (June 2014). He received his Ph.D. in Mining Engineering (Rock Mechanics) at Islamic Azad University, science and research branch, Tehran, Iran in 2013. He also received his B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in Mining Engineering at Islamic Azad University, Yazd, Iran in 2007 and 2009, respectively. Dr. Hadi Haeri became a member of the Iran's National Elites Foundation. He worked as a Lecturer in the department of Mining engineering at Islamic Azad University (from 2008 to 2013). Dr. Hadi Haeri has supervised more than 5 graduate students. He has been author of two books, published more than 30 papers in research journals and made over 10 presentations at professional conferences. He is also member in the editorial boards of several international journal and conferences. Dr. Hadi Haeri served as editor and Reviewer in some high impact journals and international conferences: Engineering geology; Rock mechanics and rock engineering; Frontiers of earth sciences; Engineering Fracture Mechanics; 6th Asian ISRM Conference 2010; the 3rd Global conference on materials science and engineering (CMSE 2014); The 4th Global Conference on Materials Science and Engineering (CMSE 2015) the 2nd international conference on materials engineering and application (ICMEA 2015). ); the 2th conference on computational mechanics (CCM 2015). His research interests include experimental and numerical analysis of crack initiation, propagation and fracturing process of brittle specimens under various loading conditions, dynamic analysis, nonlinear analysis, numerical simulation of crack propagation and cracks coalescence underneath TBM disc cutters and rock slope joints behavior, experimental and numerical investigations of mechanical behavior of cementitious materials coated with polyuria under dynamic loading conditions. Dr. Hadi Haeri has developed several DDM code (a version of indirect BEM known as displacement discontinuity method (DDM) using higher displacement discontinuity and special crack tip elements) and compared the results obtained by Higher order DDM with experiments.
