  • Biography:

Dr. Djilali Ameur is currently associate Professor at the Department of Physics at the University of Tlemcen, Algeria and member of Materials and Renewable Energy Research Unit (URMER). He was awarded a PhD in Engineering Mechanics, Electronics and Acoustics in June 2008 by the University of Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris 6), France. Dr. Ameur also obtained his diploma of "Major of Promotion" in Naval Architecture and Hydrodynamics Engineering in 2000 from the Oran University of Technology, Algeria. Furthermore, Djilali Ameur was awarded an "Honorary Research Price" from the Chancellery of the Universities of Paris in July 2007 for the quality of his research work.

Following his PhD in 2008, he joined several multidisciplinary research projects as a Research Engineer at SNECMA & CITRA, ENSIL of Limoges, France around a study of the Ariane 5 boosters. In April 2009, he joined the University of Pau as a postdoctoral research in collaboration with TOTAL in order to study problems associated to the sequestration of greenhouse gas emissions. From July 2010 until September 2012, he was a CNRS researcher at the University of Paul-Cézanne, Marseille, France in M2P2 laboratory, with objective to simulate supercritical flows in macro and micro channel.

Dr. Ameur published many journal papers and he is a reviewer of several international journals such as Microfluidics and Nanofluidics, Computers & Fluids, Physics Letters A, etc…, and also serves as part of the scientific committee of several international conferences. Dr. Ameur research areas are microfluidics and nanofluidics, heat and mass transfer, rarefied gas dynamics, supercritical fluids, Direct Simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC), Molecular Dynamics (MD), flow-structure interaction, plasma flow, turbulence, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), etc ...
