Biography:

Gary W. Chang, (M'94-SM'01), received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994. He was with Siemens Power Transmission & Distribution, LLC, USA, from 1995 through 1998. At present, Dr. Chang is a professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan(China). His areas of research interest include power systems optimization, short-term resource scheduling, harmonics, and power quality. Dr. Chang is a member of Tau Beta Pi and a registered professional engineer in the state of Minnesota. He chairs the IEEE Task Force on Harmonics Modeling & Simulation
