| 摘要： IT organization's inability to respond to business needs is a major issue in any organization, public or private.The paper addresses this problem, focusing on alignment between IT and business needs, and how organizations start regarding this strategic view as a major corporate issue. Absence of policies towards a coherent and accepted model of IT governance result in multiple small IT niches in the organization and became a corporate IT nightmare.The paper also focusses on existing literature, theories, models and practices regarding the subject.The major finding is thatanticipating potential dead ends and detecting the warning signs of trouble are the keys to a robust and well-functioning governance framework, as well as a higher maturity in the alignment between IT and business practices and goals. | 简介： Paula Serdeira Azevedo holds a PhD on Management by Economy Faculty of the Algarve University. The investigation centered on Information Systems (Integrated Business Management Applications). She also holds an MSc on Business and Economy Sciences by Economy Faculty of the Algarve University. She is Associated Professor at the University of the Algarve since 1997. She integrates the scientific area of Information Systems and Information Technology of School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism (ESGHT). At the University of Algarve she was Deputy Director of the area of Seminars and Communication of ESGHT, responsible for the organization of several seminars, from 2005 to 2009. Deputy Director of TeSP Course (Level 5) on Tourist Entertainment since January 2015. She is Member of the Jury Committee for the organization and coordination of TeSP Courses of the University of the Algarve, since March 2015. She is the Director of the IT/IS teachers group of ESGHT sinceOctober 2016. She is also ESGHT Incoming Mobility Coordinator Area since December 2016. Shewas Advisor for InovAlgarve project, 2005, responsible for developing an operational plan to integrate all application systems and technology running at InfraQuinta – Empresa de Infraestruturas da Quinta do Lago, EM. Paula Serdeira Azevedo is a Member of the Scientific Committee of Research Centre on Territory and Organizations (CIEO) in University of Algarve since December 2013 and Associated Member of AISTI (Iberian Association for Systems and Information Technology), since 2005. She is a member of several journal publisher committees. She has published her works in international scientific journals and participated on several scientific committees of international conferences. She also participated as member of juries on several MSc and PhD levels. She was invited by the organizing committee to present the paper “Advantages, Limitations and Solutions in the Use of ERP Systems (Enterprise Resource Planning) – A Case Study in the Hospitality Industry”, VI Postgraduate Conference ESGHT 2015, on the10th July 2015 and Keynote speaker on the conference “Net Talks, be creative and respect author rights” on the 26th November 2015, organized by DECO (Consumer Rights Protection). The interests of her research focus on the all the fields of Information and Communication Systems for the economic and social development, particularly in the tourism area and hospitality but also in education field. | |
