Biography: 
Orchidea Maria Lecian received her PhD in Physics (IRAP- International Relativistic Astrophysics PhD) at Sapienza University of Rome (2009). Postdoctoral positions at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), Physics Department, and IHES (Institut des Hautes Etudes Scientifiques,Bures-sur-Yvette, France) as an Angelo Della Riccia Fellow. Intensive research stays at AEI-MPI (Albert Einstein Institute- Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics) (2011, 2013) about harmonic analysis and Intensive Research Program Focus Program on 100 Years of General Relativity- Singularities in General Relativity The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences, Toronto, Canada (2015). Teaching duties at Sapienza University of Rome, Architecture Department, SBAI (Department for Fundamental Sciences and Applied for Engineering), DIAEE (Department for Astronautics Engeneering, Electrical and Energetics). Research activity in General Relativity and its mathematical aspects. Author of refereed research papers, conference proceedings and one book. Editorial tasks as editorial board member and reviewer. Proposed referee for research grant proposals. Conference organization experience and technical reviewer. External Original research master thesis supervisor for three students (Deformed relativistic transformations for Loop Quantum Gravity (2014); Quantum implementation of the Mixmaster Universe in the polymer representation (2012); Power-law modification of the Einstein- Hilbert Lagrangian for gravity: the propagation of gravitational waves (2011) ) and external bachelor's degree foundational dissertation supervisor for two students ( Topological and geometric aspects of the Schwarzschild spacetime ) at Sapienza University of Rome, Physics Department.
