Biography: 
Though he was born in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Millwee grew up in Richardson, Texas, just north of Dallas. From there he went on to study molecular biology at the University of Texas at Austin on a National Merit Scholarship. On completion of his B.A., he attended the UT Southwestern Medical School at Dallas; there he published papers in both transplant and hand surgery. After graduating with AOA honors there, Dr. Millwee completed a surgical internship at the University of Florida Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville. Following this he returned to Parkland Hospital in Dallas to finish his residency in anesthesiology and pain management. Since then he has been in private practice in McKinney, Texas, again just north of Dallas. At present he is Chief of Anesthesia at the Texas Health Surgery Center at Craig Ranch. Dr. Millwee specializes in anesthesia for otolaryngology and orthopedic sports medicine; consequently he has developed expertise in management of the difficult airway, and postoperative pain control through regional anesthesia, respectively. He is currently married to the love of his life, Mila, but has no children or pets at this time. Outside interests include traveling, art history, scuba diving, and target shooting.
