| Biography:
Junzheng Cao received his MSc degree in 1985 from Xian Jiaotong University in China and his PhD degree in 1997 from South Bank University, UK. From March 1997 to September 1998, he was an engineer in Milmega Ltd, UK. From September 1998 to August 2001, he was a senior engineer in Strand Lighting Ltd, UK. From August 2001 to October 2010, he was a Principal Engineer and HVDC expert in AREVA/ALSTOM. From November 2010 till now, he is a chief engineer in a sub-company of China Electric Power Research Institute. Junzheng Cao's research interests include HVDC, VSC, FACTS, etc. He was involved in several HVDC and SVC projects worldwide. He is a member of IET and Cigre, a member of working group SAC/TC60/SC2. He is a paper reviewer for IEEE Trans on Smart Grid, IET Trans on Instr. & Meas., and Int. Conf. on Power System Tech. In 2010, Junzheng Cao was entitled National Distinguished Expert of "1000-Elit Program".
