Biography: 
Dr. Meng Ni is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Building and Real Estate, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his bachelor’s (2000) and master’s (2003) degrees in Aero-engine engineering in China. He joined The University of Hong Kong (HKU) as a research student in 2003 and obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from HKU in 2007. His research focuses on electrochemical systems for advanced power generation and energy storage, including solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), dye-sensitized solar cells, rechargeable or flow batteries. He has published more than 80 papers in leading SCI journals. His publications have received over 2500 SCI citations (excluding self-citation) according to the Web of Science. He serves on the Editorial Board of 8 journals and is an active reviewer for 45 scientific journals. Dr Ni has delivered keynote lectures at several international/regional academic conferences. He received a Young Scientist Award from the Hong Kong Institution of Science in 2007 and a Top Reviewer Award from Applied Energy in 2011.
