Biography: 

Dr. Li is a Professor at the Dept. of Architectural Design and Engineering, Graduate School of Science and Technology for Innovation, Yamaguchi University (a national university) in Japan. He got his P.h.D at the Nagoya University, and has been working in the discipline of building materials as a noted scientist for over 20 years. Now he is the only foreign-born professor in his research field in Japan. He has already published more than 220 papers about a) rheology and numerical flow simulation of fresh concrete, b) self-repairing technology of fire-damaged concrete, 3) life cycle impact assessment methodology of concrete and buildings, 4) geopolymer(GP)’s chemical admixtures and GP concrete, and 5) carbon dioxide fixation using concrete, etc. Due to his outstanding achievements, he is the only foreign-born prize winner of Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) in the filed of Building Structures and Materials. 

Dr. Li has been serving 12 technical or research committees of AIJ, Japan Concrete Institute (JCI) and American Concrete Institute (ACI), and working as a chairperson for the Committee of Building Materials & Construction, Chogoku Branch of AIJ. He is editorial board member of three International journals and has reviewed over 30 papers of international journals.
