Biography: 
Dr. Yousef M Hawsawi is an associate scientist at the Department of genetics at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and research center(Gen Org)Riyadh –Saudi Arabia. He is also an associate scientist at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology in department of the National Center for genomics Technology, Riyadh –Saudi Arabia. He is a registered scientist by the Royal society of biology (RSci) UK. In 2014, he was awarded the BACR - Hamilton- Fairley Young Investigator Award at the 10th NCRI Cancer Conference held in Liverpool (2-5 Nov 2014).He has been granted a 7 years scholarship sponsored by King Faisal specialist hospital & Research Centre and Saudi government, equaled to 1 million dollars. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center the top prestigious institute in the world, at the department of Breast Medical Oncology with the group of tamoxifen under the supervision of Prof Craig Jordan (The Father of Tamoxifen). (United state). He holds a Master with distinction from Bangor University and a PhD degree from Leeds University UK. a Bachelor degree of medical technology from King Abdulaziz University. He has published 12 papers in journals, conference proceedings. He has participated in the scientific committee of several conferences and associations. He is a member in several professional organizations including, American Association for Chemistry (AACC), Stonebridge associated colleges (S.A.C Dip), Associate Member of Cell Biology (AMSB), American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), European Association for Cancer Research (EACR), British Association for Cancer Research (BACR), National Postdoctoral Association (Jan 2016) and Genetics Society of America (Jan 2016). Currently, he is interested on the characterization of molecular genetics basis of breast and prostate cancer.
