| 摘要： Global awareness is an important topic in higher education’s curricula to prepare students for the 21st century, to adequately respond to today’s globalized world and develop world citizenship. To investigate college students’ perceptions on global awareness, a survey on global-mindedness including skills and experiences related to global citizenship was given to college students majoring in education, business, and engineering in two large cities of China. Their responses were analyzed to compare with college students in Australia, New Zealand, and USA. Higher education curriculum development to prepare responsible world citizens will be discussed. | |
| 简介： Joy F. Xin, EdD.in Special Education from Vanderbilt University, Professor and Chair of the Department of Interdisciplinary and Inclusive Education, Rowan University, USA. She has been teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in teacher preparation program and serving on the state advisory committee on alternative assessments for students with disabilities. She conducted workshops for general and special education teachers on instruction strategies, behavior management and performance assessment, and had many presentations at regional, national and international conferences. She has many publications related to her research on instructional technology and global mindedness. Also, she is a reviewer for professional journals and books. She got awards in excellent teaching, scholarly achievement, and mentoring students. | |
