Biography: 
Dr. Muhammad Tanvir Hossain Chowdhury, is an Assistant Director, Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, People’s Republic of Bangladesh. He obtained his PhD from the Department of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Pukyong National University, Busan, South Korea. His research field is natural product isolation, Marine Biotechnology, red tide microalgae, macroalgae, chromatography, climate change and aquaculture. His present research is Enhancement of Phlorotannins (Marine polyphenol) production from the brown seaweed in response to various chemical enhancers. He has more than 32 publications to his credit. He attended a number of national and international workshops and conferences and played active role. He achieved the Best paper award-1 and the Best presentation award-3 in the 4th International Conference on Environmental Aspects of Bangladesh (ICEAB13), University of Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Japan for the paper of MTH Chowdhury et al., (2013) Simple method for isolation and identification of two new phlorotannins from Ecklonia cava and their antioxidant activities. Previously, he worked as Researcher, Enhancement of Research Capacity in Developing Countries (ENRICA) project.
