Prof. Lalit M. Pandey Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, IIT Guwahati, India
Biography: Dr. Lalit M. Pandey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, IIT Guwahati. He has completed his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He was awarded Erasmus Mundus India4EU fellowship to pursue his research at Laboratoire des Matériaux et du Génie Physique (LMGP), Grenoble-INP, France for 18 months during 2010 to 2012. Prior to joining IIT Guwahati, he was working as a Scientist with the Central Pollution Control Board, Ministry of Environment & Forests, Govt. of India from 2009 to 2014 and was involved in research / study relating to water and air pollution in agro-based industries. He has received IEI (The Institution of Engineers [India]) Young Engineers Award in Environmental Engineering Division 2017, Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research(INSPIRE) Faculty Award 2014 and Early Career Research Award from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) by Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. He is a life member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE), Nano and Molecular Society (India) and reviewer of several peer-reviewed journals. His research area includes Biointerfaces and Biomaterials, Biochemical engineering and Environmental Biotechnology. Currently he is supervising 08 Ph.D student, 01 M.Tech and 04 B.Tech students. He has published over fifteen scientific articles in international journals, including J. Phys. Chem. C, Colloids and Surface: B, Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering: C, Applied Surface and J. Chem. Eng. Data. He has over twenty papers in reputed international/ national conference proceedings.
