Biography: 
Renato B. Eleotério is professor at the Veterinary Department of the University of Sorocaba (Universidade de Sorocaba – UNISO/Brazil). Previously, he was an Academic Visitor at the Institute of Ageing and Chronic Disease at The University of Liverpool (2015-2016, United Kingdom), where he developed experiments on biomaterials, surface modification, adult stem cells and leukocytes activation. He holds a Master (2011) and a PhD (2016) degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Vicosa (Universidade Federal de Viçosa – UFV/Brazil). His PhD thesis focused on biomaterials and allogeneic stem cells for bone repair was presented and awarded at the 14th Annual Conference and Postgraduate Day of the UK Society for Biomaterials in 2015. Professor Renato has been involved in several studies for tissue repair since the very beginning (2004) of his Veterinary Medicine degree (2007) and has published 24 refereed articles in scientific journals up to date; most of these studies are associated to biomaterials for bone substitution/regeneration. Currently, he is interested on stem cells biology, biomaterials, bioreactors and stem cells for tissue regeneration.
