Prof. N. Malarkodi Department of Geology, Bangalore University, India
Biography: Dr. N.Malarkodi, Professor and Chairperson of Geology in Bangalore University, Bangalore. She obtained her Ph.D degree from Bangalore University. She has been actively engaged in research since 1992. Her primary research interests integrate Micropalaeontology and Stratigraphy. She joined the Department of Geology, Bangalore University and began her teaching career as a Lecturer in 1998 and set her primary research goal as Cretaceous, Palaeocene and Eocene foraminifera for biostratigraphic and paleoenvironmental studies, Deccan volcanism and K/T Mass Extinction. Foraminifera from the early Danian Intertrappean beds in Rajahmundry Quarries, Andhra Pradesh; larger benthic foraminifera from Cauvery basin earned the International collaboration. She has been invited to work at Geoscience Department, Princeton University, New Jersey, USA to work on the DSDP cores from Atlantic and Caribbean Ocean. Dr. N.Malarkodi is a verified reviewer of various established scientific journals and she is the chief editor of the special publication of the proceeding volume of the XXII ICMS published in Journal of Geological Society of India.
