Dr. Sumer Dirbude is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. He has worked as a Scientist-C at Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, India and Senior Research Associate/Assistant on various projects at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. He has taught Mechanical Engineering subjects at Colleges/Institutes at University of Pune, India and at Government Polytechnic, India. He had qualified GATE—a competitive examination at all India level—in Mechanical Engineering. He has been reviewer for: Journal of Combustion, Hindawi Publishing Corporation, USA; Fuel Journal, Elsevier; Energy Journal, Elsevier; Advances in Mechanical Engineering, SAGE; The 2nd International Conference on New Energy and Future Energy System (NEFES 2017). He is a life member of professional bodies, such as, Indian Society for Technical Education, Combustion Institute (Indian Section), National Society for Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power, Indian Society of Heat and Mass Transfer, and Solar Energy Society of India. He was listed in Marquis Who's Who in the world—2013. His current research interests are in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer, Combustion, Energy Systems and Fire Safety, Multiphase Flows, and Experimental Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer.
