Biography: 
Aleksandar Miletic has been working as an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Technical Sciences of Novi Sad University, Serbia. Since 2010, he regularly visits "Jožef Stefan" Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where as a guest researcher works on the development of new advanced hard coatings. He also worked as a guest researcher at Institute of Ion Beam Physics and Materials Research, Forschungzentrum Dresden – Rossendorf, Dresden, Germany. Aleksandar has eleven years of research experience in the surface engineering, tribology and materials engineering. He is mainly focused on design, deposition and characterization of physical vapor deposited (PVD) ceramic coatings, with the accent on development of hard and tough nanocomposite and nanolayered coatings. He has published more than 100 scientific papers, 12 in SCI indexed journals. For his work, he received several awards, such as Award of the Society of Vacuum Coaters for the attendance at the "2013 Techcon" international conference in Providence, RI, USA; Award of the European Microscopy Society for the attendance at the microscopy conference "MC 2013" in Regensburg, Germany; Award for the final completion of PhD thesis from Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia; Best presentation at 15th Materials Science and Engineering Conference (2016) from Materials Research Society of Serbia; Best master thesis from University of Novi Sad; and others.
