Al-Shakarchi Physics Department College of Science Al-Nahrain University, Baghdad/ Iraq email: eks2000@hotmail.com Qualifications 1996 Ph.D., Al-Nahrain University, Iraq 1989 M.Sc., University of Baghdad, Iraq He received Ph.D. in Solid state physics/ superconductor materials at Physics Department/ College of Science/ Al-Nahrain University/ Baghdad/ Iraq, in 1996. He has been a professor in the Physics Department/ Al-Nahrain University, since 2010. Dr. Al-Shakarchi has contributed in the development of Physics department, through the establishment of many laboratories for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Physics department. He is specialist in Solid state physics field into a nanoscale ceramic materials such as superconductor, dielectric, magnetic materials and shape memory alloys. The activities are concentrated on the physical properties like electrical, magnetic, optical and structural properties. The challenge is using the concept of technology transfer in our researches, and their application in the industry. A theoretical trial on the semiconductor behavior is represented on the graded layer semiconductor thin films and its application in solar cell. On the other hand, the designing of PV-solar systems for small and large scale by using software is another field applied in my laboratory. He has published more than 40 scientific papers in a local and internationals journals. He is a member of research team at La Rochelle University/ France. He was invited speeches in many international conferences. Dr. Al-Shakarchi performed three research projects under the sponsorship of the Arab Science and Technology foundation at UAE, during the period 2007-2009. He is a member of editorial board in many local and international journals. He is a member of organizing committee in many local and international conference. He is a member of American Association for Science and Technology Society, USA, 2015.He received financial award from the President Office of Republic of Iraq on the scientific performance in 1999.
