Biography: 
Mehrdad Eghlimi was born in Ardabil, Iran, on March 21, 1981. He received his M.Sc. degree from Shahed University, Tehran, Iran, in Power System Engineering in 2006 and now he is a PhD student of power system engineering at Shiraz University of Technology. He is the author of some technical papers in the field of Techno-Economic Survey on connecting Iran Power Grid to neighbouring countries. His special fields of interest include Power System (Planning & Optimization), Electricity Market and Power Trade. He is a senior expert of Power System Planning and Electricity Market in the Ministry of Energy-I.R. IRAN. In recent years, he has also gained extensive teaching experience as a part-time instructor at Islamic Azad University of Yadegar-e-Imam Khomeini (RAH), Shahr-e-Rey Branch, Tehran, Iran. Also, in 2014, he was in City University of Hong Kong as a Research Assistant and worked on a project entitled "Presenting a Decision Model of Optimal Planning for Hybrid Wind/Solar On-Grid Power System Configurations and its analysis."
