Prof. Kyu-Seog Hwang
Nambu University, Republic of Korea
Biography:
Professor Hwang completed his Ph.D. in 2003 with Prof. T. Tsuchiya at Tokyo University of Science on crystallographical and surface morphological properties of epitaxial PZT thin films using metal naphthenates. He studied as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Dr. S. Mizuta's group (Inorganic Materials Division) at National Institute of Materials and Chemical Research, Japan. He was promoted to Full-time Instructor in 2000, Assistant Professor in 2003, Associate Professor in 2009 and Full Professor in 2014 at Dept. of Electrical Eng., Nambu University, Korea. Throughout his career Professor Hwang has engaged in ceramic materials based on the combination of nano-science and thin film engineering. Some of his research findings, recently up-conversion phosphor and ferroelectric PVDF layer, have great influence on electric device applications. He has published over 115+ papers in international journals in areas such as epitaxial oxide thin films, ferroelectric polymer layer andoxide phosphors. Professor Hwang has 5+ patents, and has written 8+ books, 4+ magazine papers and 55+ conference papers. He is on the Editorial Board of The Sol-Gel Gate Way (http://www.solgel.com/) to exchange and gather information on Sol-Gel related areas for Chemists, Physicists, Materials Scientists, device Technologists, and Bio-medical Engineers.
