Ismini Vasileiou is a Lecturer in Information Systems, specialising in Database Development. She is an active researcher in Teaching and Learning focusing on Peer Learning, Flexible Learning and the use of technologies in Higher Education. She is a UK Peer Learning Advisor, running a peer learning scheme within her department for over 5 years and leading a national STEM Peer Learning Steering Group. Ismini is working on promoting STEM for girls and women and sits on various UK committees exploring ways of inspiring and empowering women to follow a career in IT/STEM. Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy, reviewer for educational journals and keeping up with the latest technologies are well recognised internally and nationally as she has been shortlisted for the WISE awards.
