Biography: 
Dr. Lim Way Foong is a post-doctoral researcher at Institute of Nano Optoelectronics Research and Technology (INOR), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). She received her BEng (1st Hons) in Materials Engineering from School of Materials and Mineral Resources Engineering (SMMRE), USM in 2009. In year 2014, she received her Ph.D degree of Engineering in Electronics Materials from SMMRE, USM. Dr. Lim has been actively involved in research works related to thin film materials for metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS)-based devices. Her past research experiences in the related field for 6 years and her enthusiasm towards research have further challenged herself to exploring the field of solid-state lighting and optoelectronics. Currently, her research interests are also related to the studies of inorganic III-nitrides semiconductors and organic materials for light emission. Her active participation in research has contributed to 41 publications in international refereed top-tier journals with H-index of 11, 1 patent granted, and 2 patents pending. She has also received several recognitions from the university under “Sanggar Sanjung” Hall of Fame awards.
