Xianwei Zhou

Biography:

Prof. Xianwei Zhou received the B.S. degree in mathematics from Southwest Teachers University, P.R. China, in 1986 and the M.S. degree in mathematics from Zhengzhou University, China, in 1992 and the Ph.D degree in transportation planning and management from Southwest jiaotong University, Chengdu,China, in 1998, where he worked on intelligent transportation system concerning transport network performance modeling and analysis, algorithm design. He did postdoctoral research at Information and Communication Engineering Department of Beijing Jiaotong University, China, from 1989 to 2001, where he mainly worked on multicast routing algorithm and the communication protocol design, IP multicast security system structure, data processing,the authentication mechanism and key management. Through talent introduction, he was an associate professor of Electric Information Engineering Department from 2001-2004 in University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), China, where his research includes intelligent firewall technology, intrusion detection technology, wireless sensor network routing algorithm and the agreement. He was an associate professor from 2004-2005 and then turned to professor in Communication Engineering Department, working on mobile IP network routing and security, wireless sensor network system, routing algorithm and the agreement, sensor network security, ad hoc network networking and routing protocol, cognitive radio network routing algorithm and the protocol, cognitive radio compression perception, cognitive radio network security, cognitive radio auxiliary wireless sensor network, DTN routing, traffic network and information security, satellite communication cognitive radio spectrum perception, satellite communication exchange and routing, deep space network structure and information network routing protocol, space information network security, wisdom network, etc.

In addition, Pro.Zhou was a Member of the 12th National Natural Science Foundation Group. He was a keynote academic speakers on cognitive radio in the branch of IEEE, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, 2009. He was also a session chairman of International Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium, PIERS 2011 Suzhou and a session chairman of the IET 4th International Conference on Wireless, Mobile and Multimedia Networks (ICWMMN2011). As one of the researchers, Pro.Zhou received Teacher Award by Baosteel Education Fund in 2006 and got Outstanding Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress by Nonferrous Metal Association in 2009.
