Tao Lin

Biography:

Prof. Tao Lin received B.S.E.E., M.E. and PhD degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China in 1991, 1994 and 1997, respectively. He was with Central China Power Group Co., China from 1997 to 2000. From May 2000 to May 2002, he was with Nagasaki University, Japan, as a JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) postdoctoral research fellow. From May 2002 to June 2005, he was with the University of Bath, United Kingdom, as a visiting research fellow, and the University of Florida, U.S.A., as a senior research scholar, respectively. In 2005, he joined Wuhan University, China as a full professor. Currently, he is assistant dean and director of Power System Automation Research Institute in the school of Electrical Engineering. Dr. Tao Lin is also an associate editor for “International Journal of Power and Energy Systems” and an editorial board member for “International Journal on Power System Optimization”. His research interests include large scale and distributed power system analysis, protection, control and power quality.
