Guojie Wang

Biography:

Guojie Wang is currently a professor at University of Science and Technology
Beijing. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Jilin University in 2000. He worked
as a postdoctoral fellow at Tsinghua University from 2000 to 2002. Then, he joined
Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences as an associate professor. In
2005, he moved to the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Georgia Institute
of Technology (GIT) as a research fellow. After his one year stay at GIT, he moved to
the Department of Chemistry at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. In 2008, he
joined the School of Materials Science and Engineering at University of Science and
Technology Beijing as a full professor.
Prof. Wang was elected in the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in
University by the Ministry of Education of China(教育部新世纪优秀人才) in 2011
and was elected in the Program for Excellent Talents in Beijing of China(北京市优秀
人才)in 2010.
Prof. Wang’s research interests are focused on functional polymeric materials, surface
materials, optical materials and biomedical materials. He has co-authored over 50 SCI
papers.
