Arno Seeboth

Arno Seeboth received a M.Sc. degree from Friedrich Schiller-University, Jena in 1979. After working in industrial research for 8 years, he moved 1987 to German Academy of Science. During this time he received the Ph. D from Martin Luther-University, Halle in 1985. He joined the Max Plank-Institute of Colloids and Interface in 1992 and was a guest scientist at the Institute of Food Research, Norwich UK for one year and then had a leading position in the Institute of Applied Chemistry, Berlin.</p> <div>Since 2001 he is the head of the Department Chromogenic Polymers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research. He has authored over 200 scientific publications including several book chapters, two books (Thermochromic Phenomena in Polymers and Thermochromic and Thermotropic Materials) and over 60 patents. The Editor in Chief for Open Journal of Polymer Chemistry is also a member of advisory boards of different International Conferences and refereed for respected journals over years. Main research themes are chromogenic materials, self-assembling systems including liquid crystals, and display technology.</div>
