He received the B.S. degree inplastic working of metals, the M.S. degree in corrosion and protection of equipment, andthe Ph.D. degree in circuit and system from theNorthwestern Polytechnic University, China in 1996, 1999 and 2003 respectively. From 2003 to 2005, Dr. Junping Geng had worked as postdoctoral in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He joined the faculty of Electronic Engineering Department of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in April 2005, and is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. From 2010 to 2011, he had worked as visiting scholar in University of Arizona, and studied the active nano antenna in Prof. Richard Ziolkowski¡¯s EM group. His primary research areas includeantenna, electromagnetic theory, antenna signal processing and active nano antenna. Dr. Junping Geng has authored or co-authored over 180 refereed journal and conferencepapers, two book chapters, and one book. He received 42 patents and more than 30 pending patents, and main participant of a Technology Innovation Award from the Chinese Ministry of Education in 2007, and a Technology Innovation Award from Chinese Government in 2008, IWAT2010 Best Paper Award, ¡°Heng Shan Liang Ci¡± Excellent Paper Award 2009. Dr. Junping Geng is reviewer of IEEE AES, IEEE BT, IET MAP, JEMWA, IEEE TAP, PIER, IET Optoelectronics, IEEE TWC, IEEE Communications Magazine, Micro & Nano Letters, Journal Annals of telecommunications and ACES. He is the editor board member of International Journal of Antennas and Propagation, and The Open Aerospace Engineering Journal. He ever was the TPC member of CMC2012, and WPMC2014. Dr. Geng is a member of the Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE) and IEEE.
