Biography
Alessandro Banterle is full professor of Food Economics and Policy. He is deputy-director of the Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods (DEMM) at the University of Milan. He is Editor-in-Chief of the international scientific journal ¡®Agricultural and Food Economics¡¯published by Springer Open. He is vice-chairman of the local organizing committee of the International Conference of the International Association of Agricultural Economists (Milan 2015 ¨C ICAE). He has more than 25 years of experience in applied economics research. His main research topics are: food supply chainanalysis, food policy, marketing of SMEs, sustainability of small farms, consumer behaviour,and competitiveness. He is author of many papers most of which published on important scientific journals, like Food Policy, Journal of Agricultural Economics, Food Quality and Preference, Appetite, Agribusiness, British Food Journal and Agricultural Systems. He has an H-Index of 5 and G-Index of 9 in Scopus.
