Biography
Stoyan Tenev is a Senior Manager for Evaluation at the World Bank Group. His area of responsibilities include the financial and private sector development operations of the World Bank Group. Previously he was the Regional Economist for the East Asia and Pacific Region of the International Finance Corporation. In IFC, he has also worked on complex investment projects in the Central Asia and Middle East region. Stoyan Tenev joined the World Bank Group in 1995 as Researcher in Development Economics. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, he worked in the emerging private sector and in academia in Bulgaria. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland. His publications on private and financial sector development, corporate governance, ownership reforms, transition, China and Asia economics have been featured in international and regional media.
