Dr Alika Khare obtained her PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur,

India in 1988. After working as Scientific Officer during 1988-1989 at IIT Kanpur she

moved to Institute for Plasma research, Gandhinagar, India. Then she moved to

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India in 1995, where at present she is

working as a professor in department of Physics. Her research interest includes

Laser and photonics, laser matter interaction, Laser ablation, laser spectroscopy,

nonlinear Optics and instrumentation.
