International Conference on Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology (SPG 2017)
will be held from February 26 to 28, 2017 in Sanya, China. This Conference will cover issues on Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology. It dedicates to creating a stage for exchanging the latest research results and sharing the advanced research methods in the fields of Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology.
SPG 2017 will be co-located with the following conferences:
International Conference on Mineral Deposits and Petromineralogy (MDP 2017)
International Conference on Structural Geology and Geodynamics (SGG 2017)
International Conference on Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology (HEG 2017)
International Conference on Geomechanics (ICG 2017)
International Conference on Geohazards Research and Prevention (GRP 2017)
SPG 2017 is devoted to the advancement of Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology. Sedimentology encompasses the study of modern sediments such as sand, silt, and clay, and the processes that result in their formation (erosion and weathering), transport, deposition and diagenesis. Sedimentologists apply their understanding of modern processes to interpret geologic history through observations of sedimentary rocks and sedimentary structures. Petroleum geology is the study of origin, occurrence, movement, accumulation, and exploration of hydrocarbon fuels (oil and gas). The scope of SPG 2017 covers both technological/practical areas and theoretical investigations of Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology, and the detailed areas of interest for this Conference are listed in the section of "Call for Papers".
SPG 2017 will be an important and reliable platform for inspiring international and interdisciplinary exchange at the forefront of Sedimentology and Petroleum Geology. The Conference will bring together academicians, engineers, educators and policy-makers from all over the world, and we hope that you will take this opportunity to join us for academic exchange and visit the city of Sanya.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Sanya.
