  • Biography:
    Dr. Wang Wenru has over twenty years of professional experiences in clinical nursing and university teaching. She is now an Assistant Professor at Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, National University of Singapore (NUS).
    Dr. Wang received her undergraduate education at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China and her postgraduate education at Chiang Mai University, Thailand and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. After receiving her PhD in Nursing in 2008, Dr. Wang worked as an Assistant Professor in the Nethersole School of Nursing of the Chinese University and later joined the School of Health Sciences of Macao Polytechnic Institute as an Associate Professor. 
    Dr. Wang’s major research interests include chorionic disease management, cardiovascular nursing and psychometric measurement. Her current researches include a NUS funded project and a Singapore Ministry of Education funded project to develop and examine home-based self-management rehabilitation programmes for patient with coronary heart disease. She is also involved in several collaborative research projects in Singapore and China.
    Dr. Wang is the author of two books, 8 book chapters and 50 peer- reviewed papers both internationally and locally. She has presented her studies at over twenty conferences both regionally and internationally. Dr. Wang has been recognized with several national and international awards for her research achievement. She is a reviewer for more than 10 international professional journals and a member of China Nursing Association, Singapore Nursing Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of   Nursing. She has also been appointed as a Professional Specialist in nursing research programme by Research and Education Department of the Health Ministry of China.
