Biography:
Dr. Jiabao Yi is a Senior Lecturer and Queen Elizabeth II fellow in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, University of New South Wales (UNSW). He joined UNSW in 2011. Before he came to UNSW, he was a prestigious Lee Kuan Yew postdoctoral fellow in National University of Singapore. He obtained his bachelor degree in 1992 in Tianjin University, China and PhD degree in 2008 in National University of Singapore, Singapore. His research areas include oxide based diluted magnetic semiconductors, soft and hard magnetic materials, magnetic nanostructures, and advanced characteristics techniques, such as neutron reflectometry, X-ray magnetic circular dichroism and muon spin relaxation. He has published 6 book chapters and 95 peer-reviewed journal papers since 2004 and many of them are high impact physics, materials and chemistry journals, such as Nature communications, Physical review letters, Journal of the American chemical society, Advanced Materials, Nano letters, Advanced functional materials etc. His publication has an h-index of 29, total citations more than 2900 times.
