Dr. Jafar Ghazanfarian

Jafar Ghazanfarian (born in 1984) is at the department of mechanical engineering at University of Zanjan as an assistant professor since 2011 and as a lecturer since 2007. He holds his PhD (ranked 1st since the university foundation, 19.46/20) and MSc degrees (ranked 1st, 17.98/20) in Mechanical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnics) and the Bachelor degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Thermo-Fluids) from University of Tehran. He has published more than 33 papers in ISI journals, conference proceedings, and books including 18 papers in high impact factor journals indexed by SCOPUS and Web of Knowledge such as “Computers & Fluids”, “Physical review E”, “International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer”, “International Journal of Thermal Sciences”, “IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices”, “Applied Mathematical Modelling”, “Applied Mathematics and Computation”, “International ournal of Thermophysics”, “International Journal of Modern Physics C”, “ASME Journal of Fluids engineering”, “ASME Journal of Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering”, "Superlattices and Microstructures", “Journal of Porous Media”. His paper published in “Computers & Fluids” was selected among 25 hottest articles (#10). Also, He has published a review paper for the survey of phase-lagging non-Fourier models. He also serves as a referee for wide range of international journals some of which are “Physical Review Letters”, “Microfluidics and Nanofluidics”, “Applied Thermal Engineering”, “Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviewers”, “Powder Technology”, and “Numerical Methods for Partial differential Equations”, reviewing over 40 manuscripts. He has also participated in the Technical Program Committee of several conferences. His publications have collected 177 citations with the h-index of 8 and i10-index of 8 in GoogleScholar (April 21st 2015). He is the chair of “Complex Heat and Flow Simulation (CHFS)” research group, which currently works on non-Fourier models, nanoscale heat transport, modern computational fluid dynamics, SPH method, FEM, moving boundary problems, and renewable energies.
