The 2nd Conference on Ethnomedicine and Traditional Medicine (CETM 2016)
will be held from June 1 to 3, 2016 in Nanjing, China. This Conference will cover issues on Ethnomedicine and Traditional Medicine. It dedicates to creating a stage for exchanging the latest research results and sharing the advanced research methods.

CETM 2016 is devoted to the advancement of Ethnomedicine and Traditional Medicine. Traditional medicine (also known as indigenous or folk medicine) comprises knowledge systems that developed over generations within various societies before the era of modern medicine. Practices known as traditional medicines include Ayurveda, Siddha medicine, Unani, ancient Iranian medicine, Irani, Islamic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, traditional Korean medicine, acupuncture, Muti, Ifá, and traditional African medicine. Ethnomedicine is a study or comparison of the traditional medicine practiced by various ethnic groups, and especially by indigenous peoples. The scope of CETM 2016 covers both theoretical and practical areas of Ethnomedicine and Traditional Medicine; Fields of interest include, but are not limited to the following: complementary/alternative medicine, ethnobiology, ethnobotany, herbalism, pharmacognosy, ethnomedicine, ethnopharmacy/ethnopharmacology, indigenous medicine, folk medicine/knowledge, folk/home remedies, traditional healthcare, clinical trials and mechanisms, and medical anthropology.
CETM 2016 will be a valuable and important platform for inspiring international and interdisciplinary exchange at the forefront of Ethnomedicine and Traditional Medicine. The Conference will bring together academicians, ethnobiologists, medical scientists, pharmacists and biomedical teachers/students from all over the world, and we hope that you will take this opportunity to join us for academic exchange and visit the city of Nanjing.
