Computational solutions of Nano fluids over stretching surface
In the present study, thermal conductivity and viscosity of both single-wall and multiple-wall Carbon Nano tubes (CNT) with in the base fluids (water, engine oil and ethylene glycol) of similar volume have been investigated when the fluid is flowing over a stretching surface. The magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) and viscous dissipation effects are also incorporated in the present phenomena. Experimental data consists of thermo-physical properties of each base fluid and CNT have been considered. The mathematical model has been constructed and by employing similarity transformation, system of partial differential equations is rehabilitated in to the system of non-linear ordinary differential equations. The results of local skin friction and local Nusselt number are plotted for each base fluid by considering both Single Wall Carbon Nanotube(SWCNT)and Multiple-Wall Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT). The behavior of fluid flow for water based-SWCNT and MWCNT are analyzed through streamlines. Concluding remarks have been developed on behalf of the whole analysis and it is found that engineoil-based CNT have higher skinfriction and heat transfer rate as compared to water and ethyleneglycol-based CNT.
Dr. Sohail Nadeem is working as a Tenured Associate Professor at Quaid-i-Azam University. He is very outstanding in research. His research areas include Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, Stretching and shrinking phenomena’s, stagnation flows, Peristaltic motion, blood flow through arteries and analytical techniques to solve highly nonlinear differential equations. The main area of Dr. Nadeem is applied mathematics. He has considered highly nonlinear physical problems of applied nature and obtains their exact, analytical and numerical solutions. He is an expert of number of analytical and numerical techniques. Dr. Sohail Nadeem has published / accepted more than 280 research papers in international journals of high impact factor. Most of his research papers have been published in USA, UK, Germany and Netherlands etc. His impact factor is greater than 300 and citations are over 3000. He has received University merit fellowship during M.Phil and got Razi-ud-Din fellowship during Ph.D. studies. He is recipient of Razi-ud-Din gold medal by Pakistan Academy of Sciences for the year 2008 and regular recipient of productivity awards since 2006 (Category A 2011-2012) which are given on the basis of research for every year in Pakistan to the top scientists of the Country and got Seven PCST Awards. According to PCST data 2013, he is included in the list of top 20 best scientists of Pakistan. In 2011, president of Pakistan has awarded him Tamgha-i-Imtiaz. Dr. Nadeem got prestigious Salam Prize for the year 2012 from TWAS, Italy. He is also selected as TWAS (Third world Academy of Sciences) young fellow for the years 2011-2016 and member Pakistan Academy of Sciences in 2012. In 2013, due to his best research outcomes HEC has awarded him the Best Young Researcher award for the year 2011. He is the member editorial board of three international journals and active reviewer of more than 80 international journals. He has active research collaboration with professors of leading universities of USA, Canada, Korea, Turkey and Germany etc.. In 2011, he had been invited to visit the Department of Computational Sciences and Engineering, Yonsei University South Korea where he developed active research collaboration with the leading Professors of South Korea specially; Prof. Changhoon Lee and Prof. Jinho Lee. Dr. Nadeem has an honour of publishing more than 280 research papers at the age of just 40 years old. His research work has wide applications in engineering sciences, food engineering, oil exploration, earth quake engineering chemical engineering, mechanical engineering peristaltic motion and bio-mechanics etc. In addition to his research work he is very excellent teacher. At present, he is working as Tenured Associate Professor at Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. He has successfully supervised more than 55 M. Phil students and produced 12 Ph.D’s. Moreover, currently 8 Ph.D. students and 08 M. Phil students are working under his supervision.
